As a Wisconsin based company with strong ties to the city of New Berlin, it’s always been important to us to support other community organizations in the area. So in 2006 we created the community outreach program as fun way for local groups to earn extra money during the Halloween season! Volunteers help us pick and package orders in our distribution center, and in exchange we’ll donate up to $2,900 to their organization.
The program has remained a successful fundraising event here at the company and its popularity continues to grow each year. In 2009 alone we were able to donate more than $100,000 to athletic teams, recreational sports teams, high schools and non-profit groups!
Interested in joining the next year’s community outreach program? Here’s how it works! During our busy season, (Sep 21 - Oct 20) your group will need to volunteer a total of 15 weekend hours (7.5 hours per Saturday or Sunday) here at BUYSEASONS. After your total hours have been recorded, we’ll make a contribution to you organization. Volunteers must be 15 years of age or older and adult supervision is encouraged (1 adult per 5 helpers).

We’ve always loved the idea of teaming up with other local companies, so we’re thrilled that we’ve been able to start some fantastic partnerships with several of businesses in the New Berlin/Milwaukee area over the years.
Some of our partnerships are with local businesses looking for new employees! Because our business is seasonal, we wanted to help our seasonal workers find job opportunities after the busy season was over. So we teamed up with other companies in Southeast Wisconsin to create the Wisconsin Seasonal Workforce Coalition. The goal of the Coalition is to help people transition into new positions so they can stay employed year-round! Through this we’ve also been able to offer resume writing workshops and interview technique seminars here at BUYSEASONS.
We also have great relationships with local restaurants that come to BUYSEASONS selling boxed lunches to hungry employees each day. Some of our current food vendors include:
Most recently we’ve been able to be a part of a number of community events in New Berlin including a public safety event we hosted in partnership with the local police and fire departments. Here we invited area families to learn more about fire safety, Internet safety and more.
