Supply Chain Management Intern
The Supply Chain Management Intern will work closely with the Distribution Center leadership and hourly team to help improve warehouse processes and procedures. Responsibilities will be diverse, ranging from WMS software configuration, documenting standard operating procedures and writing test scripts to training Associates, conducting time and motion studies and business process reengineering.
The Intern will assist with the new Red Prairie implementation project which encompasses all phases of the DC operation; Receiving, Inventory control, inventory movements, and pick/pack and ship. This person will also assist with data and process analysis, and make recommendations to leadership team; and will work closely with DC leadership and hourly staff to develop good working knowledge of operations processes, system behaviors, and productivity elements.
Basic Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in Supply Chain, Operations Management or similar curriculum
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communications skills
- Understanding of basic warehouse processes and procedures
- Ability to work at least 20 hours per week, and more during key times (hours are flexible between 8am - 6pm.)
- Ability to handle multiple concurrent tasks and meet deadlines
- Comfortable interacting with a wide and diverse group of teammates
