BUYSEASONS Partners with Wisconsin Seasonal Workforce Coalition to Offer Career Development Days

New Berlin, WI - BUYSEASONS, Inc. today announced plans to provide job search assistance to seasonal associates currently employed by the company. In partnership with the Wisconsin Seasonal Workforce Coalition, BUYSEASONS is hosting Career Development Days throughout the month of October that are designed to help seasonal employees find additional work opportunites.

The Career Development Days will feature area business partners in the Wisconsin Seasonal Workforce Coalition who will be recruiting for a variety of seasonal and permanent positions. In addition to job recruitment, the Seasonal Workforce Coalitions’ Career Development Days will feature information on educational opportunities and will provide consultants offering assistance with resume writing and online applications. Participating organizations include Bayshore Town Center retailers, Hatch Staffing, U.S. Cellular, Digger’s Hotline, UPS, Tirada and DeVry University.

The Wisconsin Seasonal Workforce Coalition was established following BUYSEASONS’ 2008 Halloween season. BUYSEASONS, community organizations, and local employers wanted to find a way to help seasonal employees find year-round work, either through year-round seasonal employment or as a full-time employee. The goal of the Seasonal Workforce Coalition is to help create year-round job opportunities for the underemployed, unemployed, and others seeking seasonal employment. In its first year of existence, the Seasonal Workforce Coalition has helped hundreds of seasonal employees remain employed throughout the year. In conjunction with the Seasonal Workforce Coaltion, BUYSEASONS and several other companies and community-based organizations partner to identify opportunities and help connect employers with employees. Other services provided by the Coalition include resume writing assistance, interview technique seminars, job interviews and more.
